1842 is located in the mountains of Cyprus, in the heart of Farmakas village. It is only open on weekends and you generally need to make a booking because they are usually full. The menu is only written in Greek but the staff are happy to explain what things are. It is mainly a “Cyprus brunch” menu created and made by Masterchef Greece contestant Stavros Georgiou. Everything we ate was delicious and can be eaten from breakfast to dinner. One of my favourite items were the Fluffins, which are a traditional Cypriot “Flaouna” (baked cheese pie) baked as a muffin, hens the name “Fluffin”. At the end of our brunch meal we were offered watermelon and haloumi which is a traditional meal in Cyprus. However, we were brought out a beautiful and delicious haloumi cheesecake topped with candied watermelon “glyko”.

We visited this restaurant during our trip from the Netherlands and we were absolutely amazed by the experience. The food is not only delicious and authentic, but the atmosphere and service made us feel right at home. Every dish reflects the chef’s passion and dedication, and the service was impeccable, with great attention to detail. Without a doubt, this place was one of the highlights of our trip in Cyprus. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique brunch experience! It is worth any minuten you sit here

Whatever we tried was really tasty, the portions were huge also which is a plus! We loved the Stavri's cheese pie, the galaktompoureko and the milopitta (apple pie). The pomilorotigania was also great; I suggest that taxini is served with this dish. I have also tried the fresh lemonade which was amazing and you should try it. Many places have fresh lemonade in their menus but most of the time is not fresh. Here it is 100% fresh. Very friendly and kind staff also. Thank you so much! We will visit again :)
